Can anybody use the shop?

Anyone can become a member of the association and use the shop by paying a small annual membership fee of £2.00.

What are the opening hours?

10–12 Saturday and Sunday mornings (closed for approximately 4 weeks each year during Dec/Jan – check car park notice board for details).

Who runs the shop?

Volunteers (all plot holders) – who will be happy to do what they can to answer your queries and advise you on gardening matters.

Why should I shop there?

  • Price – Our prices are very competitive compared with local garden centres and DIY stores, as we don’t have to add a huge mark-up to wholesale prices.

  • Convenience – Particularly if you’re a plot holder at the allotments (we’re right next door) – but if not, shoppers can still make use of our free car park; we can loan you a wheelbarrow to take purchases to your plot or car

  • Choice – You’ll be hard pushed to find such a diverse range of gardening products on sale anywhere else in Weybridge!

What kinds of things are available?

  • An extensive range of vegetable seeds (supplied by Kings Seeds) – at bargain prices

  • Seed potatoes, garlic seed, onion sets and shallot sets (seasonal)

  • Assorted composts, including organic compost, composted stable manure, John Innes blends, Gro-bags, bulb compost and ericaceous compost

  • Granular and liquid fertilizers, including poultry manure, Groworganic, Growmore, rose food and Maxicrop – plus a range of fertilizers sold in handy 1–3 kg bags, as well as bulk-buy bags (~25 kg)

  • Fungicides, insecticides, herbicides (e.g. Roundup) and molluscicides (e.g. slug pellets)

  • Plant protection – fleece, nettings, mulching fabric

  • Seed trays, perlite, vermiculite, Jiffy 7’s, labels…

  • Lawncare products, including lawn sand, lawn food, feed, weed & moss etc.

  • And a whole range of assorted garden sundries – including canes, gardening gloves, watering cans, wheelbarrows, garden twine, potato sacks

If it's not in stock, we would be happy to order it for you.

What happens to the proceeds?

Part of the Association’s income goes to help support the Weybridge Land Charity and part to run the shop, service mower and Strimmer and skip hire when necessary.

Anything else I should know about?

Call in for details
  • MOWER HIRE - £2 per hour donation, supply own fuel (4 stroke petrol)
  • STRIMMER HIRE - £5 per hour, fuel supplied
