Cedric Reavley, Composer

Cedric Reavely is an organist and choirmaster living in the pretty village of Burford, Oxfordshire.

Cedric was born in 1951 and learnt organ at Bloxham School.

He studied pharmacy at London, and for 20 years was organist at Burford Parish Church (from 1979 to 1999).

His family have had a long association with the local church and also have operated the pharmacy in Burford for several generations: in fact it is the oldest known pharmacy still operating in England. Cedric is the latest incumbent, having run the business since 1990.

Cedric is currently studying to become a non-stipendiary vicar and was inspired to start writing his Jubilee Fanfare whilst training in Dorking, Surrey.
