THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT.
Join our popular celebration of Christmas with a
programme including the sound of brass, percussion and singing - including you - in a brilliant
mixture of seasonal music, words and song. The Surrey Brass Quintet
and
IMPACT PERCUSSION join in this friendly family celebration of Christmas that
will join the community together. There is no choir, so we are relying on a
noisy audience to sing their socks off!
The
programme includes a mix of Christmas Carols, traditional and seasonal music
from Surrey Brass and IMPACT
PERCUSSION, and together with
the roaring support of a 120 capacity audience this will provide a fun family experience
guaranteed to vary pace and interest! The concert is in aid of
the
Hambledon Village Trust.
You can read all
about Surrey Brass on this website.
IMPACT
PERCUSSION is an ensemble of young students and professional
percussionists who perform under the direction of Jackie Kendle with the
emphasis on audience participation and programmes containing familiar tunes
arranged for the full range of percussion instruments but featuring tuned
percussion (glockenspiel, xylophone, vibraphone, marimba, tubular bells and
timpani)
IMPACT
PERCUSSION Concerts and workshops are often given in schools where
children can learn about the percussion family and perform on anything from a
cuica (a samba
instrument which makes a sound like a sick cow!) to a
swanee
whistle!
We keep the festive flavour flowing with Refreshments including
Hot Mince Pies, Tea, Coffee, Squash, and Wine. Come and enjoy the occasion!
Although we anticipate to play the listed
music, in the listed order, the musical programme may be subject to change.
Expect unprogrammed additions for your enjoyment!
