As
the County's leading brass ensemble, Surrey Brass receives no local government
support and as a self-supporting group, our resources are extremely
limited.
We rely almost entirely on concert ticket sales, member subscriptions, donations,
subscriptions from Friends, and income from our Webshop
to fund our activity. We provide innovative and entertaining events,
and advice and encouragement to younger players in the community, through education,
workshops, collaboration and music performance.
When we do attempt to obtain grants, we
have to compete with many other organisations, often within rules which are not
generally favourable towards classical music. It is very difficult to get support to allow
us to commission new work. Although such support may underwrite one show, and (most important)
pay the composer, it offers Surrey Brass no lasting support.
Even a small amount of sponsorship enables us to do so much more, and
bring our music to new audiences. In return we would acknowledge your generous
support by providing extensive visibility of your organisation to our audiences.
Every sponsor will
get the wholehearted effort of everyone connected with Surrey Brass to
positively promote the sponsors products or services in a variety of ways
through publicity, concerts, recordings and maybe even broadcasts. Please read on to

Without sponsorship Surrey Brass must continue to
work within tight financial constraints imposed by the limits of our own
personal resources, and the small income from concert tickets and other sales.
We want to do more, but we need your help. Have you ever thought of sponsoring a musical organisation,

purchase your favourite piece of music to play at a concert? Running Surrey
Brass is not cheap - there are many costs to be covered – rehearsal room hire,

vast majority of musical organisations these days are sponsored by one or more companies.
