The Cats Suite - Chris Hazell

The Cats Suite is loosely based on the cats (all former strays) who share my home. Mr.Jums is a ginger tom, scruffy abut affectionate; Black Sam looks like and purrs like a New Orleans gospel singer; Borage, brown and white rushes around all day long. Kraken, the only female rules the roost, though only half the size of the others.

About the Composer

Chris Hazell was the producer for many recordings by The Philip Jones Brass Ensemble. The original Cats suite was so popular, he wrote about a few more cats - and then did some more after that!

Mr Jums, Black Sam, Borage, and Kraken have been recorded by the Philip Jones Brass Ensemble on Argo ZRG 895.
