Arranged for two choirs using the standard brass dectet instrumentation (4/1/4/1) this piece makes an ideal element of any Christmas concert.

The voicing of the arrangement has been deliberately selected to maximise the tonal contrast between the choirs - making the answering phrases a bit different from most other arrangements of similar antiphonal music. Choir 1 is bright, Choir 2 is mellow.

On the concert platform the two choirs may be on either side of the concert platform. WIth large separation between choirs, care needs to be taken to ensure time lags do not impair the quality of the performance, and a conductor is recommended.

This piece works particularly well in very reverberant spaces, since it was originally written for St.Marks Cathedral in Venice, Italy.
